Cell - Based Animation

Cell-Based Animation is where each image is reproduced and then little changes are made to the next image. This shows overall as an image moving when they are all just little different drawings. For example, a flip book. As each cell is different to the previous and next, it gives the appearance that is is a moving image.

This is an example of Cel Based animation, a flip book. This shows someone drawing a stick figure person with a bouncy ball. As each image has little differences the final piece looks like the ball is actually bouncing. Giving the illusion that it is a moving image.

This is another example of a flip book in cel based animation. It is based on the MAtrix movie and shows the gun being loaded then follows the bullet which has been shot. There were hundreds of images put together for this 1 minute long Cel Based Animation.
